| About SportsBlast
In 2000, and with more than two-decades of
animation industry experience to draw on,
Emmy-winner Nancy Cartwright (the voice of
Bart Simpson on The Simpsons) founded Sportsblast, an animation development and production company that creates innovative content and shows for both the Internet and traditional media, with a special focus on animated entertainment for the sports world.
Within months the company’s first project, an animated web series about professional stock car racing called The Kellys, was underway. Developed and produced in association with Turner Sports Interactive, The Kellys concerns a family of dedicated stock car racers and their oftentimes humorous and sometimes dramatic efforts to reach the winner’s circle.
The cast of The Kellys features some of the top voice-actors in the world. In addition to Nancy Cartwright (The Simpsons; Rugrats; Kim Possible), are voice greats Rob Paulson (Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain; Land Before Time); Jess Harnell (Alf; Buffy the Vampire Slayer); Kath Souci (Rugrats; Winnie the Pooh); Cory Burton (101 Dalmations; Toy Story 2).
The show's list of celebrities includes Catherine Bell (JAG),
Camryn Manheim (The Practice) and entertainer/musician Isaac
Hayes. Top NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series driver Kevin Harvick is the
first professional driver to guest appear.
In 2005, The Kellys was revamped and re-aired to an enthusiastic
fan base. Now the spiritually in-touch Brenda Kelly has branched
off on her own, offering NASCAR fans a glimpse at the future in
her often eerily accurate predictions. Brenda ties together current
track events, dry-humor and a sexy southern drawl as she gives stock
car racing an ethereal spin.
Brenda can be found making her predictions on the new KTVU and
KTXL television show Trackside at Infineon Raceway. KTVU
is the FOX affiliate station in California’s Bay Area and
KTXL broadcasts to the Sacramento, CA area.
